The Rose Window
Rose window from the first St. John's Church remounted for St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish
The "Rose Window" shown in the pictures was a part of the original church building. Parish members preserved the window when the building was no longer being used as a church. It has been restored and is now displayed in a lighted shadow box on the face of the choir loft. The window represents the merging of three parishes into one, the coming back together of our community, under the patronage of the Immigrant Saint, Frances Xavier Cabrini.
We thank those who so diligently preserved the window for so many years; the Henninger's artisans who so brilliantly restored the window and the Altar Guild of SS. Cyril and Methodius for their contribution to its preservation. We also remember Father Tom Smith whose vision for the shadow box is now complete.
